I've been going to Norah Critzos for over two years for hair cuts and highlights, and she is wonderful!!! In the past I always had trouble styling my hair to look the same as when I left the salon, but Norah has the "magic touch" that makes it extremely easy to style my hair and keep the look -- just blow dry and go. She also has a great eye for what styles look best on me and is open to trying new things.
Everyone always asks me how I get my hair to look so perfect, and I just say, "I have Norah."

I just moved to DC and got Norah's name from a friend... she is lovely. My hair had been over-treated and colored and she took the time to apply a number of treatments to restore my hair to a much more healthy condition and a much more appropriate color. I've never written a review before but I have to share this experience with everyone. I have medium length hair (wavy) and I was suggested by Norah Critzos to try hair extensions(I always wanted long hair), since I didn't have any patience to let my hair grow, I gave it a try...let me tell you that I just love it!!! people never think that I have extensions on, you can touch my head and you won't feel the extensions on, it feels so natural. We also used different colors so I could get a little "edgy" styled too. I love Norah, she did a wonderful job, I highly recommend her, she's very thorough, professional, and really cares for what she does, you can even just make a consultation with her so you can understand the process a little better...I'm hooked!!!

After about 5 years of being my hairstylist, Nora still delivers the best in haircare, styling and cutting technique, and overall customer service! I have followed her from the downtown salon to her very own salon (N & N), because she's irreplaceable. I can always count her her to tell me how to maintain the look and feel of my hair, by recommending products. Just last week I went in to have my own hair cut, and I took my new wig to have it cut, too. As expected, she did a FABULOUS job. Nora is simply the best:)

There's a reason everyone is giving Norah 5 stars...better yet, plenty of reasons! I am an African American woman desperate for a good stylist who not only made my hair look good, but also kept it healthy. Norah is so knowledgeable and makes sure you know exactly what is going into your hair and how it works. I remember sitting at the shampoo bowl basking in my amazing deep conditioning mask praying that my hair would look awesome because I already was loving my experience! I was welcome, relaxed, and a partner in this hair endeavor; what more can you ask for?Thankfully, my once parched and dry hair was transformed into luxuriously soft, bouncy, and light strands. I left the salon with a smile and armed with knowledge of products and some tools I'll eventually obtain from Norah (not to mention some tips for everyday hair care!) I appreciate a stylist who does all types of hair well, and I would wholeheartedly recommend Norah to any of my friends, regardless of hair type/ethnicity!

Norah is an amazing stylist, technician and overall hair expert. As an African-American woman, my experience has been that most of the stylists I have patronized, even when very talented on styling, have not been continuous learners and experts on serious hair care. Norah totally is and she is very adept with African-American hair. My relaxer is laid, she is conservative yet on-point with trims and my hair is always bouncy and bootyful. Additionally, Norah is very knowledgeable about products and gave me terrific recommendations for shampoos with the right nutrients, hair oil that's not greasy, and leave-in treatments that make a real difference in my home hair care. Finally, Norah is a real student of hair and hair care and is looked to as an expert in the field.

I have been going to see Norah for years. She is bar none the best hair stylist I've ever used.
One of Norah's best qualities is her steel-trap memory, saving me the hassle of having to re-articulate what it is I'd like every time I see her, an experience I've had the misfortune of dealing with before. After seeing her one time, she'll know exactly what you want every time afterward.
Of course, the point would be moot if she didn't do a fantastic job, which she absolutely does. I'm probably in the minority as one of her male clients, but my hair is pretty unmanageable even at it's shorter length. She's been able to tame it since basically the first time I went to her and now I'm completely reliant on her talents. So much so in fact, that I plan on going back to her even after relocating to Boston.
Norah's not only a great stylist but a great lady, and it's always a pleasure to see every month or so. I'm thrilled for her new venture, particularly because she can also accommodate me on the weekends now.
